About Mrs. Jewart

Mrs. Jewart's Bio
Mrs. Jewart grew up in a military family where frequent moves where a way of life. After high school, she attended Wilson College. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Equine Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In addition, she holds a Master's degree in Special Education from Shippensburg University. She is currently attending Penn State University to complete her coopertive teaching certificate.
As her love for teaching grew, she returned to Wilson College to acquire a teaching certificate. Mrs. Jewart's experience includes working at Fannet-Metal School District, Scotland Elementary, Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Vision Quest, (a placement for adjudicated youth). Her teaching certifications include elementary education k-6, social studies 9-12, special education PK-8, special education 7-12, Business and technology PK-12.
Mrs. Jewart currently teaches at Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She teaches students with a wide variety of abilities. She is currently teaching business law, accounting I and employability skills.
In her spare time, Mrs. Jewart enjoys taking graduate courses to further her education. She is an avid equestrian, providing riding lessons, training and breeding Arabian horses for show.Philosophy

I believe each and every child has the potential to bring a positive contribution to our society. I will help students build on their strengths. I will provide encouragement, resources and guidance to help them discover who they are now and who they want to be in the future. In showing students how to take responsibility for their own education, the foundation for self-advocacy and self-determination are gained.
