Franklin Co. 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center
The Franklin Co. 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center (FCTRC) offers therapeutic horsemanship activities to individuals of all ages and disability categories. In 2008 the center implemented a program specifically for those individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Reins of Rhythm Riding & Horsemanship
Reins of Rhythm is a riding and horsemanship program in Shippensburg, PA located at Illini Mountain Farms. It is a program that offers both therapeutic and able-bodied riding and horsemanship lessons, horse camps, show opportunities, holiday parties and community events, with a focus on inclusion and sharing the love of horses amongst all individuals, regardless of ability. It provides opportunities to children ages 4-18.The program is directed by Patience Groomes and is a non-profit, volunteer-run operation. Check out the website to learn more about the program. Wilson College - Equine Facilitated Therapeutics Program
Wilson College offers a Bachelor's of Science degree in Equine Facilitated Therapeutics (EFT); which is more commonly referred to as therapeutic riding. While in the program, Wilson students are required to complete a set number of instructional hours providing individuals with disabilities therapeutic lessons with horses.
