We are now living in a world that has been dubbed "Post Pandemic" but it certainly does not feel like we are past the Pandemic. Many of us are still reeling from the stress of some aspect of life that has been directly affected by COVID. Many are on a grief journey. Much has been lost that will never be able to be given back. Perhaps, on some deeper level, we are learning that life is fragile and not to take for granted those whom we love and hold dear to us. We can all agree that now more than ever before, we are striving to work together to rebuild much that was lost. In education, that potentially is the burden to help children to have a sense of belonging even more than academic achievement. Now, more than ever before, there is a tremendous need for supporting students behaviorally, socially, and emotionally. In our own personal lives, it may be the emotional heaviness of trying to balance all the changes and meet the demands of life to the best of our abilities. Whatever it is, there is a balance that is needed to chase after the chance to regain what was lost but to also take care of ourselves on a daily basis.
